The following documents are required to celebrate a civil marriage at the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the People's Republic of China:

For the applicant (Married):

• A birth certificate;
• A certificate of single status;
• A copy of the passport;
• A letter of authorization for the marriage from the groom's parents (legalized at the City Hall of Kinshasa or by a competent service of the Democratic Republic of the Congo).

For the bride

• A birth certificate;
• A certificate of celibacy;
• A copy of the passport;
• A letter of authorization from the parents allowing the marriage with the gentleman (legalized at the City Hall of Kinshasa or by a competent service of the Democratic Republic of the Congo).
