APPLICATION PROCESS (VISA)

To apply for a visa to enter the Democratic Republic of the Congo, you need:

Download the visa application form, fill it out properly, and sign it (in blue or black ink).
Hold a valid passport for a minimum of one year;
Pay the non-refundable visa application processing fees;
Fulfill all the required conditions for the request to be processed;

Regardless of the type of visa the candidate is applying for, the application form has the same format.

As a general rule, the processing time for the visa application is considered from the date of its receipt. The application will only be processed if it is received more than three months before the travel date to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Treatment duration, type, and cost

The normal processing time for visa applications is ten working days from the date of receipt, and the fees vary depending on the type of visa requested.

Validity and fees to be paid

Note: In case of emergency procedure, meaning the processing of the visa application within 48 hours, the related fees amount to one thousand renminbi (1000RMB).

Documents to be attached to the visa application form:

Passport valid for more than 6 months and with 2 consecutive blank pages;
A copy of the passport;
For non-Chinese passports, a residence visa in China;
2 visa application forms duly filled and signed with 2 passport photos (2 inch format) with white background;
An invitation legalized by the competent authorities of the Democratic Republic of the Congo;
Proof of means of subsistence (bank statements for the last 3 months);
Minors (under 18) must present a parental authorization and a photocopy of their parents' passports;
Copy of a COVID-19 vaccination certificate;
Having the result of a PCR test valid for 48 hours;
Present at the boarding airport the QR code of the INRB (National Institute of Biomedical Research) accessible on www.inrbcovid.com.
Booking a hotel in the Democratic Republic of the Congo;
A reservation for a round-trip travel ticket;
Those who live with a Congolese parent or friend who cannot provide a hotel reservation must provide an invitation letter specifying the complete address of the residence and a photocopy of the host's ID card;
If this parent or friend is of another nationality, he must provide a legalized invitation letter, specifying the complete home address and a photocopy of the residence visa and/or settlement visa page in the Democratic Republic of the Congo;
Official visas (diplomatic and service) are granted based on a verbal note issued by a Chinese government ministry;
